What goes wrong on Giant e-bikes
Giant's SyncDrive motors (built with Yamaha) are workhorses; the bikes come in through dealers and are fundamentally well assembled. Typical service needs are RideControl app and firmware issues, speed/torque sensor faults reading as assist dropouts, and EnergyPak battery mounts loosening over rough miles. Everything mechanical is standard. Batteries are proprietary but well distributed. These are among the easier dealer-brand e-bikes to keep running long-term.
