Hydraulic systems need a bleed roughly every 1-2 years of regular riding. Use the correct fluid: mineral oil brands (Shimano, Magura, Tektro) and DOT brands (SRAM, Avid) are NOT interchangeable and the wrong fluid destroys seals.
