US class rules: Class 2 throttle tops out at 20 mph; Class 3 pedal assist at 28 mph. Many bikes ship in a restricted mode that a settings change legitimately unlocks. Be aware that de-restricting a bike beyond its legal class can void insurance, change where you can legally ride, and reclassify the bike as a motor vehicle in some states. We configure bikes within legal limits and will explain your state's rules.
