No city in America makes a better case for the e-bike than Pittsburgh. The hills are legendary: the grades up to Squirrel Hill, Polish Hill, and Mount Washington stop ordinary cyclists cold, and assist turns them into ordinary commutes. Down in the flats, the Three Rivers Heritage Trail and the Eliza Furnace "Jail Trail" connect Downtown, the Strip District, Oakland, and the South Side, and the Great Allegheny Passage starts its 150-mile run to Cumberland right at Point State Park. The cost of all that climbing is real: motors and batteries work harder here, brake pads wear out on the descents, and western Pennsylvania's freeze-thaw winters and road salt chew up drivetrains and open potholes across Penn and Butler. Pittsburgh e-bikes earn their tune-ups.
We serve all of Pittsburgh, including Lawrenceville, Shadyside, Squirrel Hill, Bloomfield, South Side Flats, East Liberty, Oakland, Strip District.

Our techs carry parts and diagnostic tools for the most common ebike platforms in Pittsburgh.
Pennsylvania does not use the three-class system. State law defines a "pedalcycle with electric assist": a bicycle with operable pedals, a motor of 750 watts or less, a weight under 100 pounds, and a top motor-powered speed of 20 mph. These are treated like bicycles, with no license, registration, or insurance required, but riders must be at least 16 years old. Pennsylvania's bicycle helmet law requires helmets only for riders under 12. Faster 28 mph e-bikes fall outside the state definition, so ride them cautiously on public roads.
Laws change, verify current rules with your state DMV before riding.
Most Pittsburgh requests hear back from a certified tech within one business day and are serviced within 1 to 2 days. Ride-stopping problems get priority dispatch.
You get an upfront quote before any work starts. Most common repairs run $30 to $800 including parts and labor, and you approve the estimate first. Diagnostic fees typically credit toward the repair.
The tech tells you honestly what the fix needs, orders the right parts, and schedules a follow-up. You never pay for a repair that does not happen.
Yes. Techs carry parts and tools for the major platforms, including Rad Power, Lectric, Aventon, Super73, Trek, and Specialized, plus generic hub-drive imports. If you are unsure, submit the request anyway.
No separate fee. The visit cost is built into the upfront quote, and you never pay for a repair that does not happen.
