Detroit's wide, flat boulevards were built for cars, and that turns out to be great for e-bikes: there is room to ride almost everywhere, and the terrain never fights you. The Dequindre Cut greenway links Eastern Market to the Detroit Riverwalk, the Joe Louis Greenway is stitching a 27.5-mile loop around the city, and MoGo's bikeshare has introduced thousands of Detroiters to electric assist. The maintenance reality is pure Michigan: long salt seasons corrode chains, spokes, and connectors; hard freeze-thaw winters produce some of the most punishing potholes in the country on streets like Gratiot and Livernois; and bikes stored in unheated garages need battery care before spring. Distances between neighborhoods are long here, so daily riders stack up miles quickly.
We serve all of Detroit, including Midtown, Corktown, Downtown, Eastern Market, New Center, West Village, Indian Village, Southwest Detroit.

Our techs carry parts and diagnostic tools for the most common ebike platforms in Detroit.
Michigan was an early adopter of the three-class system in 2017: Class 1 pedal-assist to 20 mph, Class 2 throttle to 20 mph, and Class 3 pedal-assist to 28 mph. No license, registration, or insurance is required. Class 3 operators must be at least 14 years old, and Class 3 riders under 18 must wear a helmet. Class 1 e-bikes are allowed on linear rail-trails by default, while Class 2 and Class 3 trail access is decided by local authorities, so check postings on paths like the Dequindre Cut.
Laws change, verify current rules with your state DMV before riding.
Most Detroit requests hear back from a certified tech within one business day and are serviced within 1 to 2 days. Ride-stopping problems get priority dispatch.
You get an upfront quote before any work starts. Most common repairs run $30 to $800 including parts and labor, and you approve the estimate first. Diagnostic fees typically credit toward the repair.
The tech tells you honestly what the fix needs, orders the right parts, and schedules a follow-up. You never pay for a repair that does not happen.
Yes. Techs carry parts and tools for the major platforms, including Rad Power, Lectric, Aventon, Super73, Trek, and Specialized, plus generic hub-drive imports. If you are unsure, submit the request anyway.
